Arkansas Senate Bill 356 to implement POLST (physician order for life-sustaining treatment) is now law! HPCAA worked hard with other stakeholders to educate the legislators on this important Bill. Special thanks are extended to Senator Missy Irvin, Representative Mary Bentley, Dr. David Smith, Jodiane Tritt, and Elisa White for the many hours they devoted to POLST!

Now the Arkansas Department of Health will work with stakeholders to adopt a standardized POLST form.
